Pictures to come… So, with the addition that is coming to our family we were in need of a larger car. We tried to put the car seat in the Sentra and due to Mike’s long legs and my wariness of air bags we couldn’t pull the seat up to make the car seat fit. So, we basically HAD to find something bigger, and our Sentra had a few issues as well that it was just time for something new.
So, we set off on Saturday looking. I had done research online seeing the consumer reports on vehicles and also at the dealerships around the valley to see what was out there. We decided to go to Brent Brown Toyota because it had the most vehicles we were looking at with a variety. We test drove 3 cars and looked at a few others. When we went and worked up the numbers to see what we were able and willing to pay each month we ended up with the third choice, but we still really like it. We bought a 2005 Toyota Camry. It’s gold (not my favorite car color, but at least it’s not bright red!!!), and it’s big enough for the car seat and leg room in the back with the seats being almost all the way back! Hooray! It was a certified used car, so that was a reassuring as well. We decided that with the way gas prices are that we also wanted to stay with a 4 cylinder car as to not use quite as much gas. So, now we will be getting Twitch a dog seat belt so he won’t smother Gavin when they sit together.
We are happy and excited with our purchase. We are even more excited that the reason we decided to make this purchase will be joining us soon. Only 8 weeks until Gavin’s due date!
So, for a while now i’ve been feeling all the weird movements babies make. I’ve been able to see my stomach shifting and rolling, but Mike never seems to be around when it happens. Or, Gavin stops the second I call Mike to come see. Last night I was lying back in bed and Gavin starting rolling (or whatever it is they do) so I called to Mike to come in. And hooray! Gavin did it one more time before settling down so Mike got to see Gavin rolling through my stomach. It’s a strange sight but so awesome!
10 weeks and counting. Our little guy should be here in about 10 weeks. I’m 30 weeks along and my tummy shows it! Here are two pics (one from each side). Everything is looking good. We’ve had our hospital tour and will do pre-natal classes next month. Gavin’s moving a lot more and it’s fun for both Mike and I to feel him.

This mother’s day was a good one. I’m finally pregnant and actually feel like a mom.
Either last year or the year before Mike sent me flowers for Mother’s Day. The card said, “To the future mother of my future children.” It was very sweet since Mother’s day is not always the easiest for those wanting to be a mom and having difficulty becoming one. This year I got flowers again and this time the card said, “It’s offical now
Happy Mother’s Day! Ily” Ah, so cute! I also got the new Stephanie Meyer book, “The Host.” I’m not very far into it yet, too busy! My mom got me a necklace with a mother and a child on it. Mike’s mom sent us three UT girls a copy of “Tin Man” to watch and share. Thanks everyone for your love!

So this is almost a month old, but I don’t have much time to get to this stuff. Maybe after we get my computer moved to my new desk and the internet working on it I can update more often. Anywho, Mike told my mom he didn’t want a b-day cake or brownies. He just wanted a reese’s pb cup. So she got enough for everyone to have one (mike got two) and here is his cake for this year. He is such a funny guy. I sure love him though!!

I was in bed last night and I felt Gavin moving. After a little bit I realized it was consistent and happening in the same place. I placed my hand there, kept it there about a minute, and it continued. So, I think our little guy had the hiccups. I called Mike who was in doing homework and he came in and felt it for about thirty seconds or so. It was really fun to feel and realize what it was. Only 10 weeks to go if he comes near his due date. I’m so excited and nervous at the same time. I can’t wait to hold him in my arms!
