So, a girl Emily knew in High School is getting her photography business going. She was having a great deal in June and needed some different kind of shots so Mike and I decided to get family and maternity pictures done. Emily and Steve also TRIED to get family pictures done, but with a 3 and almost 2 year old it can be difficult.
Triana (tree-ana) did a great job and even after her special she had it’s still very resonable for sitting fee and then the disk. We don’t have a copy of the cd yet, but she posted these on her website (http://t2ophoto.sk8erord.com/index.php). Here are just a few.
Mike and I are excited about this pictures. It will be a great memory of being pregant with our first child. We are so happy he is almost here.

The Shaw Family

Look at the ‘tude this girl has. She’s adorable!

So we just finished our two-week pre-natal course and, though informative, I’m glad it’s over. It was good to see some of the items that may be connected to Nicole in the next 4-6 weeks, but the videos were not really my thing. I really did not have any desire to see other peoples… babies… ahem… in real-time color action. Those of you who have seen the vids will know what I mean. I am definitely a horror movie fan, but that kind of flesh and gore just wasn’t what I’m into. I AM, however, looking forward to being able to see and hold my son when ever he decides to make his grand entrance and help me take over the world. ‘Nuff said.
After church yesterday I was making myself a snack. As I was spreading the pb on some bread I looked down and had to stop for a minute. I went into Mike and asked him, “Does my stomach look farther away from my chest than it used to be?” He thought so as well. Other family members we saw yesterday agreed with us too, so unless it was the shirt i was wearing, we think little Gav may have “dropped”. We had an ultrasound a week ago at 34 weeks and his head is down. He actually wouldn’t move and show the tech his face, as much as she tried! He’s measuring about 33-34 weeks on everything but his head which was measuring about 35 weeks. She said she didn’t get a great measurement so hopefully his head won’t be too big, or ouch for me!! So we have 5 weeks til his due date as of today and we are very excited. Life is sure going to be different but we are so excited to be having a son! He’s so much a part of our lives already.
