Since we were talking about it on Sunday for Lauren’s birthday dinner, I thought I should post the few zombie items that I have. Zombies are one of my favorite movie subjects. I’ll watch most any zombie movie I can find and even have a few in my collection of movies.

So, my Grandpa had his 90th birthday party on Saturday. He turns ninety tomorrow, the 23rd. He lives down in AZ. It was really important to my dad for as many of us to go down there as possible. MIke and I decided to just send me because we couldn’t afford 2 plane tickets and he didn’t want to drive down in back in 2 days and I didn’t want to drive that far with a newborn! So, Gavin had a lot of firsts; first plane ride, first trip to AZ, first time meeting great grandpa, and first time seeing the temple. It was great to see all my aunts, uncles, cousin and Grandpa. It’s been I think 5 or so years since I’ve been down there. I used to go almost every year. I’m not sure how much longer my Grandpa will be around so I was SOOOO glad I got to go down and see him. He is a great example and I love him very much. It was a fast trip, but Gavin did great. I don’t think you realize how small plane seats are until you’re trying to nurse a baby in one!

So, I’m going back to work on the 6th. Just part time, but still…
So, we decided we needed to start giving Gavin a bottle once and a while so he would be used to it when my mom or anyone else has to give him one. Mike fed it to him and i think Gavin got as much on him as he did in his mouth. So, he’s still working on it, but I think he can at least get milk. Thanks to Emily for letting me borrow her pump! That way Gavin’s still getting the good stuff! After Mike was done giving hiim the bottle I cried a tiny bit. More so because of the reason we have to give him a bottle. Someday I won’t have to work!!!

Our baby boy is two months old. He had his 2 month check up on Monday. We only had him get some of his immunizations. We decided to spread them out a bit as you never know how your kid will react as well as how they are tested all together. It was so sad to have him get a shot though. I hate when Gavin is hurting. He’s getting so big! He is 12 lbs 1 oz, 24 1/2 inches long. He’s 50 percentile in weight, 95 in height and 25 in head circumference. He’s such a tall little guy. The doctor said he looks healthy.
We blessed Gavin last Sunday, August 31st. We were lucky enough to have all of our family there. We knew Matt and Mom and Dad Luke were coming from Oklahoma, but they surprised us and Stephanie and Brent flew in as well. The blessing outfit we wanted was only in size 3 months so my mom took it in and he looked adorable! We ended up having 10 people in the circle. Mike, Dad Eyring, Dad Luke, Jay Eyring, Matt Luke, Nathan Eyring, Joel Lyons, Steve Shaw, Bobby Kinser and Ryan Sellers. We had also asked our Bishop, but he decided not to when there wasn’t a lot of room. Mike gave a wonderful blessing and Gavin didn’t make a sound even though he was squirming the whole time. Annette and Joel were gracious and let us go down to there house and celebrate with friends and family after the blessing. It was great to see friends and family. Thanks to everyone who came and who helped. We love you all!
Other people took some pics too so i’ll try and post more when i get them from them.
