Twilight

Ξ November 21st, 2008 | → 0 Comments | ∇ General |

My friend Nat took me to see “Twilight” this morning, a be-lated b-day gift.  (if you don’t want to know anything about the movie stop reading)  Here are my thoughts.

I actually really enjoyed it.  It doesn’t follow the book exactly, but I think they did a good job at trying to keep it as close to the book as they could in a 2 hour movie.  A few things drove me crazy, but I think that’s to be expected.

I think the girl playing Bella did a really good job and even though the guy playing Edward was not and will never be “my” Edward I think he did a pretty good job too.  LOVED James!!!  He was great, actually all three of the non vegetarian vamps were good.  Charlie was not how I pictured him, but he fit sooo well.  I also really like Alice.  They didn’t really let you get to know her character very well, but what I did see I liked.

My favorite scenes were the baseball game and Bella meeting the Cullens.  The fighting sequence at the end was good too.  Honestly I think the biggest disappointment was when they showed him in the sun.  It did not even come close to what I picture and looked kind of like bad cgi.

I’m going again next week with Emily, Annette, Stephanie and Momma Luke.  I’m looking forward to seeing it again and I will definitely buy it when it comes out.  I hope they are planning to make all the books into movies!!!  I also think that Stephanie Meyer needs to finish MidnightSun!!

Well, there you have it.

Fun times

Here are just a whole bunch of pictures of our family over the last month or so.  Gavin is growing so big.  Notice the pic where he is standing by only holding his daddy’s hand.  Wow.  He doesn’t look like a baby.  Mike also enjoyed putting Gavin in a doo rag (sp??) and his own beanie.  I also love the pic of “buddies” watching tv together.  Enjoy!

First Football Game

On November 8th Gavin got to go to his first football game.  BYU vs SDSU.  Gavin made it through 3 quarters of ball before he’d had enough and wanted a nap.  It’s so nice that BYU has a mothers area that we can go and feed and change our little ones.  I was at UVU the day before and the McKay Events Center didn’t have anything like that.

Halloween

Yes, I know it’s been a long time since Halloween.  I still wanted to get some of our pics from up though.  Gavin was a brazillian soccer player, Mike was a crazy clown and I was a pirate.  We went down to Springville and went trick or treating with the Lyons.  This has been our tradition for at least 6 years.  It’s a lot of fun.

Talking up a storm and growing so big!

So, my little mister, (mike’s too of course, he just doesn’t call him that) is getting so big.  I’m going to put up some more pics soon too.  I took him to his 4 month appointment last Friday.  4 months, can you believe it???  He weighed 14.14 lbs and was 27 inches long.  That’s in the 97th percentile for his height.  He’s gonna be tall like his daddy.  He also about 2 weeks ago start to jabber a ton.  He has the sweetest little voice and we love it when he shrieks at us.  It is too funny.  He’s also been laughing a lot.  I love when I can make him do his full belly laugh not just a small chuckle.  We are excited for his Grams and Papa to come out and visit next week and for Aunt Steph to be moving here so she can see him grow!
